For a $1000–$1500 guitar you will impressed. Solid wood and appointments usually found on much more expensive guitars. Dealing with Andrew is like talking to a very informed friend One can tell he loves what he does. I’m writing about his Korean made production series, His custom built guitars, is only something I can dream of having one day

    4. Full Rich Tone with Great Sustain

      James Venable (verified owner)

I recently received my D 1050 NAT guitar. I was pleasantly surprised that, unlike the photos on this page, it has beautiful abalone inlays around the sound hole and just inside the entire circumference of the top binding. I love it. Playing it is a pleasure. I did loosen the truss rod a bit to eliminate buzzing and after that it’s a joy to play. It’s a great complement to my 1975 Guild D-40. They have different tonal characteristics and I think the AW D 1050 is a bit brighter. Each has their place and I’m very happy with the guitar!

Best acoustic guitar I’ve ever owned. Purchased the first one and immediately bought a second! Beautiful sound quality, great aesthetics, plays like butter- if you do enjoy playing and don’t have one, get one!

Great guitars, high quality, superior sustain, affordable prices, beautiful to look at, designed by a West Virginia luthier who will personally reach out to chat with his customers. What’s not to like?

I love the personal touch of Andrew Whaite’s customer service. I have had a many questions regarding the building of his guitars and every question has been answered within a day! Let’s see some of the big houses do that!

I love my Andrew White dreadnought! I have several other guitars but the sound from this thing is just out of this world. Once I pick it up, I can’t put it down!

Andrew is doing something interesting with his instruments. We’ve corresponded back and forth, and he is both visionary and traditional craftsman. Be interesting to see where he is in 20 or so years. But, I suspect he’ll be at the top of his form and the industry.
